Budget
The Quiet Budget
A way of tracking what you spend that survives a bad week. Built for people who have abandoned three budgets already.
Veltapress publishes short digital guides on money, rest and the habits in between. Each one is written to be finished in a single sitting — no padding, no chapters that exist to justify a price.
We write to you once at launch. Nothing else.
One is too thin to act on. The other asks for a fortnight you do not have. We publish for the gap in the middle.
Every title has a last page you actually reach. Length is decided by the subject, not by what looks substantial on a sales page.
If a term has to appear, it gets explained once, in the sentence where it appears. You should never need a second tab open.
You get a file. It opens on a phone, a laptop or an e-reader, it works offline, and it does not vanish if we ever close the doors.
Veltapress is the publishing name of Ramos Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 17403039. We make one kind of thing: written guides, sold as downloads, on subjects where clear instruction is scarce and confident noise is plentiful.
We do not run courses, memberships or coaching. There is no upsell waiting after the download, because there is nothing else to sell you.
These are the guides opening first. Prices are set; the files are in final edit.

What the numbers on a statement actually mean, which balance to attack first, and how to tell a real offer of help from a sales call.
Getting the first cushion into place when there is no spare income to start from. Small sums, defended well.
The handful of changes with evidence behind them, separated from the gadgets and routines that only sell well.
Cutting the input that leaves you tired without having left the house. Not a detox — a settings change you keep.
Why projects die at the two-thirds mark and what to put in place before you get there, rather than after.
Asking for a raise, declining work, ending a subscription by phone. The awkward conversations, scripted and rehearsed.
A thirty-minute routine that keeps money, admin and the week ahead from piling into Sunday night.
Checkout takes a card and an email address. No account to create, no password to invent.
Your download link is emailed the moment payment clears — minutes, not days. It stays valid for 30 days.
PDF and EPUB, both included. Save it where you like. It needs no app of ours to open.
Leave an address and we will write once, on the day the first titles go on sale. No weekly letter, no drip sequence, no sharing your address with anyone.
One message, at launch. Unsubscribe is a single click, and we delete the address when you do.
No. Our guides are educational material. They are written for a general reader and take no account of your individual circumstances, income, debts or goals. Nothing we publish is financial, legal or tax advice, and none of it should be treated as a recommendation to take or avoid any particular course of action. For decisions that matter to your situation, speak to a qualified professional who can look at your actual position.
Every title comes as both PDF and EPUB in the same download. PDF keeps the layout fixed and suits a laptop or printing; EPUB reflows to the screen and suits a phone or e-reader. There is no app to install and no connection required once the file is on your device.
Between forty and ninety pages, depending on the subject. We have no minimum length. If a guide says what it needs to in fifty pages, it ends at fifty — padding a book to look weightier is a trick we would rather not use on you.
No. You buy a title once and it is yours. There is no membership tier, no recurring charge and no content that disappears if you stop paying, because there is nothing to stop paying for.
A purchase covers you and the people in your household. Sending a copy to a friend who would find it useful is fine by us. Posting the file publicly or reselling it is not — that is the one thing that makes publishing at these prices impossible.
Write to us within 30 days and we refund the purchase in full, without an interview about why. Our Refund Policy sets out exactly how that works and what we do and do not ask for.

No, and we would be wary of anyone who does. These are guides, not outcomes. What happens after you read one depends on your circumstances and on what you decide to do, neither of which is in our hands.
